Mike-Bear has performed and collaborated with some of the most talented artists, producers and creators across the tri-state area of New York, and was the opening act for award winning national artists such as TyHerndon and Billy Gilman.

Mike-Bear released his award winning demo cover EP,  "ampEar", in 2022 along with videos produced by award winning producer Matt Ebbers of Side Room Sounds and M.E. Creativeworks.

He's currently in writing, recording  and production mode on multiple projects and music videos.  

Available now, the release of his EP Doin' This and his latest cover single Blue on Black. His studio band project called Mike-Bear and the Den, with Mike-Bear's 1st original track When the Dust Settles released on October 30, 2024. Available on streaming and download platforms. His upcoming releases span genres and show versatility in his songwriting abilities, vocals and world view. 

A Houghton College Choir trained 2nd Tenor, able to sing with the highest of Tenors (Bruno Mars, Adam Levine, and The Weekend) and reach very low ranges (Barry White, T.J. Osborne, and Johnny Cash). His register is expansive with gritty amber baritone, smoky bass and refined velvty control on every track. 

Known regionally as a powerhouse behind the mic, you can find Mike-Bear performing weekly as co-lead vocalist for New York’s awarding winning band, Funk Evolution.

Compared to some of the great male vocalists, Mike-Bear fits comfortably in the grouping of Corey Glover, Luke Combs, Chris Cornell, Sam Smith, Jim Morrison, Seal, Charles Kelley, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Seal, Luther Vandross, and Chris Stapleton...to name a few.

Semi-Finalist in the 2024 Unsigned Only Music Competition in the Best Vocalist Performance.

Winner of the Intercontinental Music Awards Best Vocalist Performance 2023 for the cover of "I Was Wrong" and Finalist for Best Vocalist Performance 2023 for "I Won’t Let Go" and "Burning House".

Mike-Bear performs in some of the largest venues in the NY's Capital District, including: Vapor Night Club  at the Saratoga Raceway, Rivers Casino and Resort, Joe Bruno Stadium, the MVP Arena, and the larger regional night clubs and party venue favorites.

Mike-Bear's style is a unique blend of Pop, R&B, Rock, Country, and Soul. With a powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, Mike-Bear delivers a captivating performance that leaves audiences wanting more.

A soul-searching soul-sharing story teller groomed by the stylings of legends like Living Colour, the Jackson 5, Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Garth Brooks, Queen, Rascal Flatts, Lady A, Boyz II Men, Foo Fighters, Audioslave and Metallica. Depending on the playlist or shuffles of the moment, Mike-Bear's influences span generations and all genre and songbooks. Bear strives to sing songs that evoke emotion and thought, holding nothing back. 

Diversity in his resume, performing with world class groups like the Houghton College Choir, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, a National Anthem Singer for the Valley Cats and Utica Boilermaker Road Race, a multi-year WGNA 107.7 FM Country Idol Finalist, a Platinum Voice Semi-Finalist and local bar Karaoke Winner. Currently, “Mighty Mike Bear” is a lead vocalist in New York’s Award Winning Leading Party Band- Funk Evolution (www.funkevolution.com).  

Commanding attention on the mic, on stage and on screen, "Bear" is Mike’s true spirit animal. A force of love, life, and limitless optimism with a twinge of protective brother bear. Ever smiling or deep in thought, noticeable to most, Mike-Bear lives life fully and loves to share that lived experience and multi-talent gifting with everyone he meets, as highlighted in 2009,  with his television debut  Bear Run the Movie, broadcast on the LOGO Network, a film by Dan Hunt. 

They call him Mike Behr, Bear, Mighty Mike, Mike Bear, the Beard Guy, and other names, Mike-Bear wants the world to know he's passionate about music and loves his supporters.
